Members of the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) have withdrawn ₹39,403 crore between March 25 and August 31, the Labour Ministry informed the Lok Sabha on Monday. Subscribers from Maharashtra withdrew the maximum at ₹7,838 crore, followed by Karnataka at ₹5,744 crore and Tamil Nadu (including Puducherry) at ₹4,985 crore. Over 1.04 crore workers raised claims with the EPFO.
